Photo exhibition of “Heungnam, the Winter of 1950” will be held at the National Museum of Comtemporary History) from Dec. 15, 2015 ~ Feb. 29, 2016. The opening ceremony will take place on December 14 that will include VIP tape cutting, press briefing, musician (vocal, guitar, saxophone) play, cocktail reception etc.
1950 흥남 그해겨울 특별전시회가 대한민국역사박물관 3층 특별전시실에서 2015년 12월 15일 부터 2016년 2월 29일까지 열립니다. 개막식은 12월 14일 열리며, VIP 테이프 커팅, 보컬그룹공연, 칵테일리셉션이 있을 예정입니다.
This year marks the 65th anniversary of the Heungnam evacuation in the winter of 1950, six months after the outbreak of the Korean War. Those who let the Heungnam barbor to seek freedom and survival have missed their hometown. they have also wanted to know if their family members in North Korea are dead or alive. The special exhibition opens up the stories of those who have kept the moemy of the day when they were evacuated from Heungnam 65 years ago. Their stories tell us that their sailing from Heungnam has not ended since they left it behind in the winter of 1950. 올해는 6.25 전쟁이 발발하여 그 해 겨울 흥남철수가 있은 지 65주년 입니다. 65년 전 참혹한 전쟁 속에 자유와 생존을 위해 흥남부두를 떠났던 이들은 아직도 고향을 그리며, 헤어진 가족의 생가를 묻고, 자신이 떠나온 그날의 흥남을 가슴에 품고 있습니다. 새로 마련된 특별전시실에서 열리는 이번 전시에서는 흥남철수를 겪은 사람들, 그것을 잊지 못하는 사람들의 이야기를 펼쳐 보이고자 합니다. 이 전시를 통해 1950년 겨울, 흥남을 떠난 항해는 아직 끝나지 않았음을 기억하고자 합니다.
